Have you seen the Grand Canyon?  It is incredible.  It just appears out of nowhere.  These vast plains and then all of a sudden this massive canyon just appears.  It goes on for miles.  The colors of the canyon walls are beautiful.  It is simply majestic.

Hawaii is our favorite place on the planet.  There is something about Hawaii that just captivates people which is probably why it is one of the top tourist destinations in the world.  And for those that have not yet been is normally one of the spots on the top of their list to visit.

But why?  Well, it comes back to the one thing again.

I know it sounds boring but consistency is your key to success.  It was the key to forming the Grand Canyon and the Hawaiian Islands.  It is the key to achieving anything you ever dreamed of.

The idea is simple.  Putting it in proactive can be somewhat challenging.

Making It Easy

There is nothing “easy” about success.  But there are some secrets that can help you get there.

And if we know that the one thing most important to achieving success is consistency then it would be valuable to understand how consistency can be achieved, right?

Systems are recipes.  And since systems create consistency you can basically say that this is literally the “recipe for success”.

I am not suggesting that any of those items are “easy”.  In fact those four items above can be some of the most challenging tasks for humans to accomplish…when they don’t understand the one thing.

But now you do, so then it just comes down to using these recipes to create systems that keep you consistent so you can achieve the success you desire.

Get Out of Your Own Way

We are the cause of our own lack of success, in most cases.

We get in our own way.

We sabotage ourselves.  We go on a diet, eat well for a week or two.  We even go to the gym regularly.  And then we go to a friend’s birthday party where they are serving cake and…we decide to “reward” ourselves.

Systems and consistency is not about doing everything you’ve heard you “should” do.  Instead it is about creating consistency with what you “will” do.

Don’t worry about doing everything right.  Instead start small, build momentum and then gradually adjust your actions to improve your results.

Daytona 500

Remember back to the months leading up to you 16th birthday.  Learning to drive.

Now imagine that as soon as you turned 16 you could get your license but you were going to compete in the Daytona 500 the same day.

Overwhelming?  Yeah, I’d say so.

I mean, it sounds like a lot of fun to drive in the Daytona 500 to me, but even with most of our experience as drivers, well beyond 16 years of age (some of us more than others), it would be pretty dangerous.

Take baby steps.  And make small adjustments along the way until eventually you can look back with confidence because you’ve achieved great things.
